Designing a Transformational Leadership Experience for Executive Leaders


The Moment

An organization sought to invest in its executive leaders at a critical point in its evolution. While these leaders were experienced and high-performing, the organization recognized the need for deeper alignment, both individually and collectively, to meet the demands of the next phase of work. This moment called for an experience that would go beyond strategy and execution, creating space for reflection, alignment, and renewed clarity of leadership.

The Challenge

Executive leaders often operate at a high level of responsibility with limited space to pause and reflect.

  • Limited structured space to examine identity, values, and leadership impact

The Approach

A.Leigh Solutions partnered with the organization to design a fully tailored leadership experience for executive leaders, grounded in identity, purpose, and strategic alignment. The experience was intentionally structured to move leaders through a progression of:

Self → Story → Leadership → Impact

The design included:

  • Guided reflection on identity, leadership journey, and values

  • Structured storytelling to help leaders articulate their "story of self" and leadership lens

  • Opportunities to connect personal purpose to organizational strategy

  • Facilitated dialogue to strengthen trust and alignment across the executive team

The experience also integrated strengths-based development using CliftonStrengths to deepen awareness of how each leader shows up and how those dynamics impact the team. Through strong facilitation and real-time coaching, leaders were supported in engaging in honest dialogue, navigating complexity, and translating insight into action. Grounded in an educator's lens, the experience balanced depth with structure, ensuring that reflection led to clear application.
